What is ground water table?

 

 Ground water table 

The ground water table is a level below which the soil is fully saturated.

Here, the meaning of fully saturated is all the voids of soil is filled up with water.

 The soil above the ground water table is either dry or partially saturated.

We can also say that the ground water level can be above the ground level (i.e. water surface of River)
